Airplane Banner Spreads Truth as Pence Spreads Lies & COVID
Millions of Michiganians fly message ahead of VP speech at Bishop Airport
FLINT – Millions of Michiganians, a federal SuperPAC, hired a plane today to carry a banner with the following message: “That woman from MI kept us safe, not Trump!” ahead of a scheduled speech by Vice President Mike Pence.
“The people of Michigan know that every time Trump and Pence open their mouths, they are either spreading lies, COVID, or both,” said Lonnie Scott, executive director of Progress Michigan. “We wanted to remind the leader of the White House Coronavirus Taskforce that our governor kept us safe while President Trump and the White House sowed chaos and division and failed to produce a plan to keep our country safe from the coronavirus outbreak. Michiganians haven’t forgotten this administration’s failures on COVID-19––and pretty much every other issue––and we will certainly hold Trump and his allies accountable on Election Day.”
The plane will pull the banner for two hours prior to Pence’s arrival while attendees gather for the event. Pence’s visit comes on the heels of reports showing a record number of COVID-19 cases over the weekend in Genesee and Saginaw counties.
